Latinas Lifestyle Fair 2021
We returned to the on-site edition
Hispanic Media celebrated the coming back of on-site edition of Latinas Lifestyle Fair, an event with a scheduling of recreational activities and seminars in charge of important specialists in healthcare, entrepreneurs and life style.
As planned, the event started on time at 10:00 am at El Concilio, with dancing classes of zumba, salsa and bachata.
Four important seminars were presented to create networking opportunities, as a tendency to close connections with Latin women in the USA and waking up self-awareness about Covid-19, a global issue.
These were the seminars
- «Latinas during COVID-19» by de Dr. José R. Torradas MD, FACEP; one of the most qualified voices in medicine to speak about the worlwide pandemic.
- «Mental health: The new norm» by Héctor and Elizabeth Ayala, President and Executive Vicepresident of Hispanic Community Counseling Services (HCCS), respectively. They both brought out how important taking care of mental health is, especially from the consequence of pandemic which awaken anxiety and depression to society.
Each seminar offered alternative points of view about these increasingly important and current subjects; the audience had the chance of listening to speakers and ask a few rounds of questions and answers.
These activities were carried thanks to the support of Goya Foods, Aurora Latino Home Care, Concilio Philadelphia, Hispanic Community Counseling Services (HCCS), RDS Home Care and El Sol Latino Newspaper.
